Welcome to DrivingTestHire.co.uk. Please read our terms and conditions carefully before booking a vehicle. By using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions, which comply with the Road Traffic Act of the UK.
 
Our Services
 
  • Vehicle Hire with Accompanying Adult: We provide vehicles on hire to learner drivers, accompanied by an adult supplied by our company.
  • Important: We do not provide driving lessons or tuition, nor do we charge for tuition.
  • The charge for the accompanying adult is included in the vehicle hire cost. This service is for vehicle hire only, with the accompanying adult present to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Vehicle Features:
    • All our vehicles come equipped with:
    • High-visibility graphics
    • Front and rear learner plates
    • An additional internal rear-view mirror

  • Payment Terms:
    • Full payment is required to secure your booking.
    • We accept most major debit and credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
    • Note: We do not accept pre-paid credit cards or cash payments.
Rental Charges
 
  • Minimum Rental Period: 1 hour
  • Maximum Rental Period: 4 hours
  • Included in Your Hire:
  • Mileage and fuel
  • Insurance coverage
  • Damage Excess: An excess will be charged for any damage to the vehicle. Optional excess waivers may be purchased (subject to qualification).
  • Accompanying Driver Surcharge:
  • A £49 surcharge applies for accompanying drivers. Not for driving lessons 
Eligibility Requirements
  • Provisional Licence Holders:
    • Must be 17 years or older (or 16 years if receiving the higher rate of the mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance).
    • Must hold a clean, valid UK provisional licence.
    • Certain endorsed licences may be accepted—please contact us for more details.
    • A provisional licence holder must be accompanied at all times by a qualified driver aged 21 +or over.
  • Full Licence Holders:
    • Must be 23 years or older.
    • Must have held a full, clean, valid UK or EU driving licence for at least three years.
    • Certain endorsed licences may be accepted—please contact us for details.
Using Our Vehicles for Driving Tests
 
  • Our vehicles are available for driving tests. 
  • Two sets of controls . (Dual Controls) 
  • We recommend hiring a vehicle for at least one hour on a previous day to check licence details and familiarise yourself with the car.
  • Please inform us at the time of booking if you require the vehicle for a driving test.
Accompanying Adult
 
  • We provide an accompanying adult as part of the rental service.
  • The accompanying adult is included to ensure the safety of the vehicle and compliance with the Road Traffic Act.
  • Important: The accompanying adult is not a driving instructor and does not provide driving tuition.
Can I Bring My Own Accompanying Adult?
 
Unfortunately, no. For safety reasons and to meet immediate legal requirements, we provide a qualified, experienced professional driver to accompany you on your driving test day. This ensures compliance with regulations and guarantees the highest level of safety for both you and our vehicles.
 
Qualified meaning somebody that is over the age and hold a valid UK driving license with three years experience.
 
No refunds will be granted if the booking is not cancelled within 24h of the test date. Unless otherwise discussed.
